The Leader of the Democrat Party Serdar Denktas has expressed the view that the Turkish side has already shown maximum flexibility at the Cyprus peace negotiations and warned that further flexibility would bring a breakdown.
‘There can’t be a going backwards from the provisions envisaged in the Annan Plan, on the issues of property, governance and citizenship’ Denktas told Bayrak Television.

The DP Leader said he got the impression after his meetings with foreign diplomats that a foreign resolution plan might be brought to the table.

Denktash for President! What a comedian. Honestly, have you guys not got anything better to bring to the table?

And to think hes streets ahead of your leaders.

An admirer of Serdar Denktash! It's not something I would boast about in public. But I guess you don't have a lot of choice being ruled by clowns and monkeys.

What does that make your leaders snakes and liars??? this tit for tat viewpoint will not get you anywhere has 35 years taught you anything.

VP, let me once more re-explain to you that we GCs, in this country, do not count history with years or decades, but with centuries and millenniums instead!

If only they could learn from their mistakes on equal proportion. What a place Cyprus would be, never mind.

Yfred, come on, please don't keep playing the stupid a??

Firstly, the shear fact that he is having a summit means he is not the one doing the negotiating now is he. If he has to take instructions then it stands to reason he is not the one making the decisions is he??

Why don't u try considering it as a consequence of strong cooperation of TRNC and Turkey regarding the solution of Cyprus Problem. Don't be so shy, admit it.

TRNC President Mehmet Ali Talat has stressed that Turkish Cypriot clear policy it has been carrying out at the negotiations is also being supported by Turkey.

Mr Talat’s remarks came at a press conference upon his arrival at Ercan Airport last night following the completion of his contacts in Ankara.

Explaining that the TRNC delegation had very useful contacts in the Turkish capital on the latest developments concerning the Cyprus issue, Mr Talat said Turkey and the TRNC has once again confirmed the policy that should be carried out during the negotiations process.

The President also stated that they have not set a time limit for the negotiations because the Greek Cypriot Side is supporting a negotiations process which does not have a time limit.

Noting that the Turkish Side will carry out a policy which aims to orientate the Greek Cypriot Side to a solution with more rapid actions, Mr Talat repeated that it is Turkey which is following an active policy during the negations process and this policy of Turkey has been appreciated by the international community.

At the press conference the president also referred to the domestic issues and said he is not in a conflict with the government.

Pointing out that every institution and person in the country can have different views on the Cyprus issue, he said the most important thing is to make all evaluations common for using it in favor of the TC's.

Meanwhile, President Talat is continuing to inform citizens on the latest developments concerning the Cyprus issue.

Within this framework, the President has visited Dipkarpaz and Mehmetcik village today.

Dipkarpas and Mehmetcik

Postby cymart » Sat Oct 31, 2009 6:20 pm

Most of the Turkish people in Dipkarpas are from Turkey, not Cyprus, while in the other village the reverse is true!So what did he tell them?Get ready to move back to Turkey in the first one and don't worry you will benefit from a solution, in Galatia???I doubt it!What about the Israelis who are developing the Karpas area such as Yialousa marina etc? What does he tell them?By the way, most of them live in Larnaca and cross over whenever they need to!
