PARIS — As France remains under heightened alert against terrorist attacks at home, attention is also turning to the potential danger to the country’s expatriates and interests abroad, notably from Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, the group that recently kidnapped French workers in Niger.

MOGADISHU, Somalia — Somalia’s most powerful Islamist insurgents, the Shabab, executed two teenage girls on Wednesday after deciding they were spies, setting off fears among residents, officials and witnesses said.

The two teenagers — one 18, the other 14 — were shot by firing squad in the center of the town of Beledweyne, near the border with Ethiopia, witnesses said.

An interesting insight into the Islamic mindset:

Pakistani boy who dreamed of being a suicide bomber

Abdus Salam was brainwashed into believing he would be rewarded for carrying out a suicide attack. Islamist militants told Abdus Salam he would go to heaven if he blew himself up. Initially he believed them, and trained to become a suicide bomber. Now 14, he tells the BBC's Syed Shoaib Hasan how he narrowly escaped a violent death.

There are other accounts of this incident which describe the event somewhat differently to that which YOUR link suggests.

Among those others, a suggestion that the 'Iraqi Government Forces' were not so 'Well Trained' in dealing with such situations as one might imagine or have been led to believe they are.

Lack of communication skills and a predilection for a 'Gung Ho' approach (probably inherited from the Yanks) has been offered as an explanation for the awful outcome of the apparent 'Standoff'.

It has also been suggested that the slaughter which took place, was the result of the Iraqi Force's unwise use of grenades in a hostage situation and not the actions of 'Suicide Bombers' which resulted in such carnage.

As usual, the likes of you and I will only be told that which the interested powers will wish us to know. (IMHO)

IRAQ: Christians consider their future after deadly attack

BAGHDAD, 4 November 2010 (IRIN) - The latest attack on 31 October on Iraq’s dwindling Christian community, which left 58 people dead, and warnings by al-Qaeda that more killings will follow, is raising questions about the future of one of the oldest Christian congregations in the Middle East.

So, had it not been for the unlawful and murderous invasion by the Yanks upon an innocent nation, NONE of these events would have happened and the Christian communities would not be forced to leave their homes.

The underlying reason for them being forced out NOW, probably is the result of their being infiltrated by persons who are working towards the overthrow of the current system, most likely at the behest of the Yanks.

Makes perfect sense don't you think?.
