How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby humanist » Mon Oct 26, 2009 10:30 pm

so lets just give it to them because Bananiot said so lol ............ Justice in Cyprus needs to be restored and be fair for all Cypriots not only the TC's who are by far and at this stage screwed mostly by Turkey and its occupation of Cyprus

The only thing Christoifias could have up his sleeve is to offer Talat financial aid and thus minimise Turkish influence over the TCs.

Is there that much imagination and inventiveness in the RoC political scene?

RoC has accepted 12000 daily workers in the south, which is a fairl ylarge percentage of t he total TC workforce. Underwriting the TRNC civils service wage bill is not an insufferable financial burden and it would minimise TUrkish control over TCs. Not to mention that it would have a HUGE international impact as a goodwill gesture.

Nikitas you can take the mantel of feeding us while our hands are tied, as much as we hate to turn away free handouts, really just stop suffocating us and you will find the Turkish influence disappear very quickly.
It will happen any way at least you can get the credit for it, then we will be indebted for ever to our GC cousins and we'll show it.

I have never claimed that the RoC is feeding the TC workers who cross the Green Line every morning. These people work, they are not beggars or welfare spongers.

You are responding like a true EOKA B or TMT veteran.

What I did say, and it is fairly clear, is that RoC could offer financial relief to Talat to decrease his forced dependence on Turkey. Obviously he will refuse it. Obviously it will be a goodwill measure of some impact. Goodwil measures are so called because they do not involve a trade, which is what Turkey does not understand.

Goodwill does not expect repayment or gratitude.

As for the suffocation, look to Eorglu, last week he got involved in POTATO trading stopping TCs from selling potatoes to the GCs. What a statesman, what a visionary, he has seen the world in a single chip!

Nikitas read my comment one more time. I did not say or imply that you said anything about the Turkish Cypriots workers who cross to the south. The comment is about your suggestion that roc should pay the civil service, and I merely made the comment that although Talat probably would not object, I suspect Eroglu will. I was suggesting that never mind paying for the civil service, just stop suffocation and the TCs will be grateful.
Please read the comment again with clear mind.

I’m being honest with you!

You couldn’t even get 200 people across the other day to go to some stupid church without causing a scene and canceling the event, and you expect us to buy the rest of your shit?

With Eroglu in charge, what did you expect?
All they had to do is get a list of names right, what are you talking about, if you can’t put a list of people on the bus, it really says a lot about your education system old boy. You gave them a perfect excuse to misbehave and misbehave they did.
But Eroglu or UBP will not always be in power.

Honestly. You steal our land and houses, obliterate our heritage, expel a third of our population and try to set up your own piratical state while keeping 40,000 soldiers on our territory, then ask us to make things more comfortable for you as you are "suffocating". Are you taking the piss?
