Where has it gone indeed? Taking this opportunity to wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous 2011 before we hit the town to watch the high jinks and see it in.

Just sent my last invoices for 2010 in for payment - think I will take a few days off now - there are places we want to see.

My gorgeous 'Cypriot' neice (lived here all her life) dropped in to show off her Cypriot fiance - and what a fine fellow he was. Just finished his national service and studying aeronautical engineering in the UK now. Hopes to return and work for Cyprus Airways.

My youngest son has informed me he is about to make me a grandmother sometime in 2011 - better start trying to behave like one (not much chance of that!)

A UK pal sent me this photograph he took in Waitrose and it did make me laugh:

Gaman? Is that the Turkish translation of my forum nickname Deniz?

Sounds like something I used to get called on here lol!

My friend, things have been a tad hectic here (in between extended periods of gorging and dossing!) didn't realise I knew quite so many people in Cyprus - but I will be doing a nice update for you of my travels with piccies very soon.

Sorry for the mis-spelling of your name. That was unforgiveable indeed. Its not like me to alter peoples nicks - which I consider utterly revolting.

You might have to wait until I purchase a dinghy at this rate Deniz lol! Actually bought a pair of boots today and a brolly to please my understudy (I hate the things) and a little waterproof coat for the shivering dog!

More thunderstorms last night and quite a few roads still flooded around here earlier today.

But - we need this rain and probably need a lot more of it.

*they are still hosing down their porches - some were doing it WHILE it was still raining this morning lol!
