I braved the town centre earlier. It was a bit chaotic and the traffic at a standstill (so no probs crossing the roads!) Dismayed to see graffiti outside the old Mosque behind the Fort 'Fuck Off Arabs' over a swastica. :x

Limassol was covered in graffiti - mostly AEL and APPOLLON and expletives about the Police - I do hope Larnaca isn't going to end up the same.

I used to be intrigued to see graffiti in Greek but with just the swear words in English! Don't they have Greek equivalents for Barstewards and the F and C words?

Will be going out for a nice meal tonight so we are now officially dossing about now the sun is going down.

Tonight we are celebrating 47th birthday of Bayrak.............

Bayrak ....Bayrak.....Bayrak......

Bayrak Radio Television Corporation is celebrating the 47th anniversary of its establishment. Bayrak Radio which came on air on the 25th of December 1963 with the announcement ‘Bayrak Bayrak Bayrak-this is the voice of the Cyprus Turkish Fighters’ today broadcasts with 2 television channels and 5 radio stations. A reception will be held tonight on the occasion.
Bayrak Radio Television Corporation’s Board of Directors paid separate visits to political parties with seats at the Republic’s Assembly.

The Board paid visits in turn to the main opposition Republican Turkish Party, the governing National Unity Party, the Social Democratic Party, the Freedom and Reform Party and the Democrat Party.

The important role Bayrak Radio played in the Cyprus Turks struggle for freedom was highlighted during the visits.
Speaking on behalf of BRT during the visits, the chairman of the Corporation’s Board of Directors Yılmaz Başkaya noted that the BRT had been established 47 years ago under difficult conditions but had proudly grown into a modern broadcasting institution with 2 television channels and 5 radio stations.

BRT Director Özer Kanlı for his part expressed the hope of further developing the corporation and said it was his aim to launch an additional television channel and radio station to the BRT.

An 'add'? That pic has been on cf before. I have more pics of me on here than fb. I only use it to search for friends I have not seen since 1963, from all over the world. Thats why I dont waste my time on here that much.

Just downloaded the Lara Croft game. Not as good as the PC version. I think its a step backward. The only advantage is that it can be played online with multi-users. Not my cup of tea or coffee for that matter.
