BTW what ever faults GR has he seems pretty hot on IT matters and on pointing to government websites which can assist the public. All credit to him for that. Is IT and/or Government, or even IT in Government, his area of expertise?

Ethanol bols at 78 deg C. You an cover the mulling wine, but just heat it not over 70 deg C or reinforce it later. ( never reinforced it myself.

Reinforce Deniz, that's the spirit . I assume it's the chemist's term for adding ethanol. Boozers call it fortifying.

Are you snowed in yet?

I worked late last night and had decided to stay home anyway. I knew the forecast. They are gritting our roads just now. After an incident last year, I refuse to take anymore chances.

Weather update indicates that Thursday evening the temps will fall to - 5 deg C. The snow is melting now, that means if they do not do a few more rounds of gritting, Friday also will be a day off. The weekend is a promised warm (comparative) time ; as high as +2 deg C. Isnt that marvellous.lol.

We are almost snowed in. No post for two days, no refuse collection, no grit on our road. Fortunately I don't have to go out to work any longer.

The bloody dog seems to be enjoying herself though, she goes and plays in the snow and then comes in and hogs the fire. How I wish I was in Cyprus right now.

We've been down on the beach today! Then stopped off for a drink at the Fort and on to the Salt Lake to watch the sun go down between the Mosque and the mountains. lovely. Serious dossing indicated for this evening.
