You have been 'conned' Halil.

I didn't get it ....'conned' (anlamadım).

To 'con' someone means to defraud/trick them. I was playing with words. (with CON kahvesi. Aynading olan?

If you were conned, you did not get the real thing/coffee. Perhaps its a Turkish coffee rather than CON coffee - which is Cypriot.

Halil, senin anlayacagin lisanda anlatayim. CON= Dolandirmak. CONNED= Dolandirildin.

No I can't think why either Daniella! :D

Share your onions with them and you'll all smell the same!

From all my years working in airconned or centrally heated offices, I seem to recall it was those who'd been out for a 'liquid lunch' who smelt the worst!

If you couldn't smell them, you could spot them falling asleep at their desks in the afternoon lol!

Oh it is hectic today. Just as well as I would not rest - getting all overexcited at the thought of seeing my son and my lovely daughter in law tomorrow afternoon. Yay!

I've even done some housework to keep busy! (Might need a lie down on account of that). When the lovely Cypriot girl who trims my hair turned up half an hour early she was so shocked to find me bizzing about cleaning up - she asked if I'd like her to help me lol!

Even had the car cleaned! It will probly break down on the way to the airport tomorrow now. Daughter in law phoned last night and was describing her lovely new 'white' coat - I thought 'geez it won't be very white if she brushes up against my car which looks like a desert camo vehicle' so I had it cleaned!

Sure Daniella. Con (John) is a well established Turkish Coffee suppliers in north Cyprus. Con as you know in English means to trick/cheat somebody for personal gain. I simply explained to halil that con means to cheat and conned means cheated.
