And just to the right of the piccie, out of shot, is a brand new (as yet uninhabited) luxury apartment block! (They don't show the wasteland on the artist impression on the website lol!)
The buildings you can see are on the Artemis Ave Airport Road and beyond them (on the other side of that road) is the Army Camp and salt lake.
3 years ago - the blue and white bus furthest away was the only dead vehicle on there, you used to be able to walk across it and clamber up onto the road (short cut to salt lake)
In the winter it greened up and looked like a rolling golf course and now ... well! They've constructed a sort of pikey encampment wire fenced vehicle related business of some sort just out of shot on the left of the pic. They have nasty rottweilers in there.
Two years ago they built a huge boat on there (that was quite interesting to see taking shape).
At the other end of my road - heading towards old airport - was a charming little wood next to the now disused smaller army camp. That's been flattened. They are building on that now.
