Is it OK if you 'feel the need' to?

Just got back from watching the sun go down behind the mountains at the Salt Lake, just at the end of my road. I will be counting the bites shortly! Worth it for the lovely view though.

Lovely warm evening with a slight breeze and more people there than usual (at least 8 people).

Off for a cooling swim soon. I like going swimming after sundown. Seem to stay cooler longer afterwards and the pool feels warmer!

Somewhere in the world it is good morning for someone. Its the good will intention that matters.

And stop making us jealous here with your sunsets. We are lucky to see the sun even rise - for 24 hours.

Do you see any ducks on the lake or have the NG been having shooting practice?

Deniz. I looked and looked. There was not a single feathered creature in sight anywhere down there. Not on the lake, nor flying around. Maybe because it was getting dark?

Dunno but you usually see SOME birds - often the swallow type ones at dusk.

I was dismayed to see that some idiot(s) have smashed one of the new benches that were put at the top by the big information boards.

They'd already destroyed the artwork (silhouttes of birds on long poles, painted silver) not long after they were put there.

These benches have moulded concrete frames and wooden slats bolted on. Even the concrete had been broken. Ahh well. Must have made someone happy for a short while I s'pose.

The water is receding a bit now. But the edge of the lake looks VERY murky and grotty. And a strange colour too.

Record high level of water in it last winter. I expect it's dragged all the shit out of the shrubbery surrounding it into the water.

It's polluted anyway apparently. From so much lead where the shooting range was nearby (and they still shoot there even with it closed) - not to mention the shite from the planes.
