I think you'll find that the power came from Dhekelia Power Station, bequeathed by the British to Cyprus on independence. It was (and is) as much TC as GC.

That is true, which is why Lurucina never paid their electricity bill to this day to the roc, although the TRNC hass been collecting it for them in not too dissimilar way the GCs have been collecting rent for the TCs.

Nope!

"The Electricity Authority of Cyprus owns and operates three Power Stations with a total nominal capacity of 1118 MW as follows:

Dekelia Power Station: This Power Station is located on the south east coast of the island. Dhekelia Power Station consists of 6 x 60 MW conventional steam units burning heavy fuel oil. The first unit was commissioned in 1982 and the last one in 1993."

Generators may have been replaced, but the power station was there before independence. Do you think the GCs would, in 1982, build it in the middle of the British Base Area with no-one noticing? I think that I am right is saying that at independence it was Cyprus' only big power station - but I could be wrong.
