good luck trying to rent it out.. i just met people today who had seen one of the houses and were talking about it... they mentioned your user name on cyprus forum "its me" and the price of the town houses and i remembered you replying 1 of my posts with a different price.. that's all. i am happy in my apartment that i have, thank you... but land lords asking for references is not a good sign especially from your above posts of deciding who to rent to as well...

The house that was advertised for €350 has been let, so whats your point?
and you keep going on about references. Exactly what is your fear?
why is it a bad sign that a landlord would ask for references?
and it is entirely the landlords prerogative on who he wishes to let to?
you seam very concerned about this post, especially as you are very happy in your apartment.
But i thank you for wishing me well in renting out the houses.

by the way pp the best landlord in cyprus is a racist!!!! wat references wud a family of police need from a cypriot whos family has shops here and whos uncle is the general of the army! whos uncle was the previous commissinor of police in pafos!

no coincidence.. i meet a lot of people in my line if work, not only 1 job, but several. and i enjoy talking to people and they always open up and tell about their life experiences as well as day to day happenings... but yes references for a house is really silly, as it is not a job interview, and seriously which previous landlord will give a reference??? for a police officer, logic seems to be missing here...

and the most incredible part here is that all his sons are police officer, now that is much more than coincidence...

You seam to have a very busy life, with all your different jobs that you have?
i thought that you were in university studying child psychology?
i have checked some of your previous posts and it happens that your telephone numbers you gave for contacts also happens to be the very same as cyprusgals number {or should i say your sisters}.
you have all your family here that are shop owners, or high in command positions in goverment jobs, yet you still struggle to find an appartment to live in? funny that.

i would have thought that ANY landlord that was happy with you as a tenant would have no hesitation in giving you a good reference?

And as for the landlord being a racist, he is in fact just a very good judge of character which postings by both you and your sister has proven him right.
