"EU accession talks of Türkiye began back in 2005 and never stopped. Someone's being ignorant."

You have obviously not been keeping up with the news. There is a process based on dossiers and the energy dossier has been blocked. One dossier blocked, the process as a whole is blocked. And more are on schdule for more blockages by various EU nations. Just watch the Poles and how they react to Turkish farmers getting subsidies!

"The European Solution" nonsense first was heard from ur late TPapa. Weird... how u haven't heard abt it... :?

Earlier, Papadopoulos met with the presidium of the Panhellenic Committee for a European Solution to the Cyprus issue.
"We discussed the prospects of a European solution to the problem, and set out our view that the will of the Cypriot people must be respected, which was so clearly expressed with the 76 percent" (rejection by the Greek Cypriots in a simultaneous referendum on the Annan plan held in the Republic of Cyprus and the Turkish Cypriot community on April 24), Professor Pericles Nearchou, the Committee's coordinating secretary said after the meeting.

European Democracy deputy Prodromos Prodromou said the best way to keep alive the memory of the people is by ''politically vindicating the historic and courageous decision'' of the Greek Cypriots at the April 24 referendum.

Prodromou stressed the need to determine an aggressive policy pursuing a European solution to the Cyprus problem.

Christofias has touted the “Cypriot Solution” as a“European solution,” a slogan that in the southhas meant adherence to certain select rights andnorms of the EU, as well as the capacity to usetheir EU member status to speak for the entiretyof the island, including Turkish Cypriots, and toput pressure on Turkey.

Here is another EU ignorant.Process is not blocked. New chapters are being opened during each presidency, that was even the case during French presidency. Believe me our ports will not be opened to south cypriot ships and our dear Swedish friends will open another 2 chapters. 8)

Runaway, let them wallow in their ignorance of the facts. When the truth hits them all the more painful it becomes.

runaway ... I thought you said Turkey did not need the EU?

You seem awfully desperate to persuade us that Turkey should be "considered" ...
