12,000 people murdered by GC between 55-74...aparently.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

demitriou isn't ignorant, its his keboard. Allegedly he downloaded some porn stuff, and a bloke came round to his house and put a button inside his keyboard, or something like that. Anyway i think he went to school, its just that he can't remember which one. Please excuse young demitriou his temporary lack of mental cohesion, i'm sure he'll be back to his normal self ............erm soonish.

Well he says from 1963 to 1974 there were no killings of TCs.From a rough research i made i only found killings of TCs before 64. Can you give me some accounts of killings occuring after 1964? As for him saying 63 instead of 64 then i guess its just a mistake he made (Dont know if indeed he has a memory problems, but i hope not).

Censor what? A thread that within 4 hours you (in plural) filled 4 pages with one line crappys? The post of another moderator calling a member "naive"?
Forget it man....

PS. I just edited your "witty part". Don't provoke!

Ok then...well from that interview, I admit Papadopolous was wrong and fucked up.

but how many TC are going to tell me outright that the statement of '12,000 murdered by GC' is wrong also?

If the equation of GC killing is in that piece of propaganda...why would it matter in a Turkish nationalist march? why wouldnt they also mention the TC that murdered TC also? why cant you admit that the statement is a bunch of propaganda lies?

i think the amount dead refers to the total killed in cyprus from 1955
thats tc gc and brits. the poster is trying to lay the blame for all these deaths at the feet of eoka supporters, at least thats one way of reading it.

i am absolutely certain that gc's did not kill this number of tc's.

Why cant you assume nothing and just outright say the banner is a lie?

Many moons ago on this forum we discussed what Papadopoulos said or not regading the article in the Khaleej Times.

We concluded that the translations this article went through would probably have resulted in certain facts being misquoted or misrepresented. This does happen quite often, but hey ho, if you guys wish to believe that he said this 100%, from the horses mouth, and recoderd by the well respected 'what do you call it times' that nobody has heard of then there isn't much that can be said. The tc'sseem desperate to latch on any 'fact' whether true or not to prove the demonic mentality of Papadopoulos.

hang on a minute

lets say that that number of people have died as a consequnce of enosis.
it may have a bias on its wording granted. but hey lets be honest for a moment what was all the troble about in the first place.

answer enosis, and or ethnic cleansing of tc, both of which were instigated by gc.

ive said that gc did not kill 12,000 tcs once and i've just said it again. the poster does not claim that either. think it through. it may be provocating, however if that number have been killed as a consequence of enosis then make your own judgement on the cost of enosis.

how many have died either fighting for or against, or as victims of enosis, and who instigated enosis?

im making no judgements, im just trying to show you another interpretation which has been overlooked.
