both sides of the mountain range has already been destructed.
North part, by allowing buildings all the way up the slope, which not only destroyed the vegetation to provide space but turned the whole place into a concrete jungle.
As to the southern part,by giving licence to numerous stone quarries,to carve the mountains with daily explosions to extract stone & gravel to satisfy the building craze!!

Well I guess now that the ECJ has made it's ruling there will be no more need for this stone as you WON'T be building anymore

And when the UK high court rules against you further, then you will be well and truelly up the shit creak, oh and I guess without a paddle.

Phase 1 complete.

Phase 2 in the making, standby.

Phase 3...you can "burn up some henna up your arse" (that's a Turkish saying)

No iceman, that would be a total waste of Henna.

.. and another thing, without which a debate inthe environmental degradation of the Kyrenia Mountains would not be complete ...

Are some you boys telling us that the Pacmen, that so gracefully
adorn the southern flanks of the range, are some kind of Environmental Improo-oovement? ... or a way for some in the Occupied North to earn a living? ...to feed and house their families, legitimately?

Or are they a simple case of uncaring, unsympathetic, environmental excrement? A case which truly reflects Tnucland's Environmental Creeeeedentials? One that's there for all to see.

Anyone driving from Nicosia to Occupied Kyrenia will witness the vast limestone quarries where entire mountains have been blasted and removed; trucked away for export to Turkey.

Thousands of donums of forest have also been deliberately and systematically set ablaze by the Turkish Army for military reasons.

Not to mention the hundreds if not thousands of olive and carob trees destroyed to build the Coryneum Golf Club. It is as bad as an eyesore as the quarries are. Apologies to keen golfers. They can play golf on reclaimed land.

.. Or is it a case of taking EU money, with some in the Illegal Regime siphoning some off, of lining their own pockets, of taking their cut.

TC are not stopping from protecting where they are living in these days .

The Kyrenia Mountain Trail has been adopted by the EU funded Natura 2000 project which has designated six areas for inclusion in the scheme. The areas will be linked by the KMT. Natura 2000 will introduce a standardised way marking system which will be used on the walks to be created in the six designated areas. Over time the walks and trails in each area will be mapped and available on this site.

I know above link will upset u agin Billy willy boy but u wanted .Till u learn not to add politics upto every thing u will get same response.
