Hakluyt & Co spy-work for Shell and BP“THE UN Secretary-General’s special envoy Alexander Downer, reported Offsite, is a director of an intelligence gathering firm, Hakluyt & Co, which was set up in 1995 by two former MI6 agents. The company, according to Offsite, sells information to companies, regarding government decisions and plans; in the past it had been passing information to Shell and BP about the activities of Greenpeace.”http://royaldutchshellplc.com/2008/11/1 ... ll-and-bp/
The above is far too over sensationalized because as I told you before, Bespoke Approach is a very
similar organization which employs some very high profile Australian Politicians and diplomats. But they do not "sell" Government secrets, but harness their world wide knowledge and expertise to achieve positive outcomes for their clients.
Once again, this is what Bespoke Approach do according to their website:
* Discreet personal counsel for companies anywhere in the world;
* Context setting for governments and their agencies; and
* Pro-bono assistance to specific areas of interest in the not-for-profit sector.
Furthermore, Bespoke Approach is a registered
Lobbying organization so that it could try to
influence Governments for various businesses and nations that may be their clients. It is a very clever business, because as you know, Bespoke Approach has massive contacts withing the Australian Government, US administration, UK plus more.
So if Rupert Murdoch wants to apply pressure on the Australian Government regarding media ownership laws in Australia, all he has to do is employ Alexander Downer or Nick Bolkus to do his ground work, and he probably already has. The same can be said about Defence companies who are vying for Defence contracts, tobacco companies, Oil and Gas companies etc etc.
http://www.bespokeapproach.com/Thepower ... fault.aspxFurthermore, Hakluyt is just another business that operates along the same lines.
Hakluyt & Company is a British professional services firm, specialising in business intelligence. It helps a set of mainly blue-chip clients build conviction by providing them with information gathered discreetly via a large independent worldwide network. Client requirements typically involve shedding light on market entry situations, competitor strategies and M&A situations.
The company was founded in 1995 by Christopher James and Mike Reynolds. James retired in mid-2006, stepping up to the firm's advisory board, and was replaced as managing director by Keith Craig.
Hakluyt maintains a large number of "associates" around the world who form an international network of what are effectively its agents, mostly senior individuals with excellent contacts in their own right. These people work independently of Hakluyt and themselves, to preserve the integrity of the information they provide.
Hakluyt is based in Mayfair, London.
The company's advisory board has included many high-profile figures in British industry and government, including William Purves, the former HSBC chairman; Peter Holmes, the former Shell chairman; Brian Cubbon, the former permanent under-secretary of state at the Home Office; Peter Cazalet, former deputy chairman of BP; Lord Inge, former Chief of the General Staff; Lord Trotman, former chairman and chief executive of Ford; Baroness Smith, widow of the former Labour leader; and Frank G. Wisner, former U.S. ambassador to India. More recent appointees include Bill Bradley, the former U.S. presidential candidate; Rod Eddington, the former CEO of British Airways; Chris Gent, the former chief executive of Vodafone; Ralph Robins, the former Rolls-Royce CEO and Sir David Manning, the former U.K, ambassador to the United States.
The company is currently chaired by ex-Unilever boss, Niall Fitzgerald.
This business also has some very high profile individuals and probably does employ persons who were MI6 agents. So what?
I too have held very high security clearances, and still hold some security clearances, but who is to stop me from resigning from my current position and setting up an Aviation Consultancy firm with various Aviation Defence Clients and then sub contracting Bespoke Approach or Haykluyt to achieve outcomes for clients within Australia or the UK? Obviously I would never compromise any classified knowledge I possess, even after I resign, as I am
legally bound to never do so for my entire life, but no one can stop me from utilizing this knowledge to obtain advantageous outcomes for any clients. I will obviously be under heavy scrutiny from various agencies to ensure I don't violate any Commonwealth Secrecy Laws, and this could very well include such measures as phone taps and even surveillance,, which I am certain happens from time to time even now, and probably also occurs in Alexander Downer's case.
So who is to stop me from even obtaining a job with Hakluyt?
Furthermore, Alexander Downer does not seem to have any affiliation with Hakluyt, but I am certain he probably knows other individuals involved and that Hakluyt probably know Alexander Downer quite well. The 2 companies are probably business
associates as their manifestos are undoubtedly quite similar.
Can you provide an official source as to Alexander Downer's involvement on the Hakluyt board? Surely their must be an official source on the internet?
Also, the RoC could in actual fact contract Alexander Downer to act on its behalf through Bespoke Approach if Alexander Downer was not UN Envoy on Cyprus, and there was no conflict of interest. But he would probably reject such business as he might even consider such a business partnership as being much more trouble than what it is worth. If there was no conflict of Interest, Bespoke could be used to lobby Ankara, and they would obviously utilise other firms to assist in this endeavor.
You are obviously trying very hard to find something to discredit Alexander Downer himself, and also the peace talks. Put it this way, AD was a politician for over 30+ years, and in that time he has never been discredited or destroyed by any political opponent, so I doubt Christofias or anyone else for that matter will even come close. He is far too smart to be caught out by your frightening games.
The RoC has made a very grave error by releasing secret UN documents. You people need to read "How to make friends and influence people" because your methods are, to say the least, below par to what is normally practiced in the first world and the EU!
