Makarios Droushiotis supports cross voting system

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

It is so easy to blame the victim, it does not wash though, it sticks like crap to all over your nice clean dress.

No, there may well have been "reasons" for people to leave. What we were discussing was YOUR accusation that you left in 1972 because you were "ethnically cleansed".

I think we proved once again you were just parroting Zan's propaganda, and like all propaganda you lack evidence; merely blowing foul air.

You of all people should be used to that.
Are you keeping a straight face when you say there was no pressure from roc for tcs to leave cyprus?
I can see your nose growing as you post.

What is there discuss about this proposal other than to shout out and reject it. Have the Greek Cypriots, whose left has invented Cypriotism, the Cypriot-Cypriot identiy, Cypriotness in their anti-nationalist hysteria not had enough of the Turkey-Turkish Cypriots-Turks triumvirate? Can they really want more?

What will be left of your people whatever the hell you call yourselves(I'll just call you Zyprians to mock the ridiculous train wreck you have become), if you implement such a disaster waiting to happen? Have you not learned what Turkish Cypriots as a social grouping stand for as far as your community is concerned -- fighting for Taksim, creating separatist enclaves, securing important roads, creating landing zones for Turkish paratroopers, fabricating allegations of genocide, etc.? What kind of dumb-ass, debased, suicidal nation with such a small population can even find enough morons, idiots and traitors to discuss such a disgusting proposal as we see assembled here, or even find the yellow journalists and newspapers to print such garbage, along with the President that proposed it?

Newsflash: The militarily defeated cannot reverse their defeat by becoming stupid loons that beg for future defeats and catastrophes. The proposal is a joke that any serious nation would reject; I can tell you no American would ever stand for it, but Zyprians should be proud how leftist sissy anti-nationalist they have become.

Not surprised, MD is one of the people that Downer and Co have approached and greased to support the Turkish thesis on Cyprus.

Alexander Downer does not even know who Makarios Droushiotis is!

Furthermore, Alexander Downer is a far too superior politician, and is more intelligent, and professional to allow himself to get bogged down by Cypriot witch hunts and paranoia politics....

If only Cyprus had a politician of his pedigree, then things would certainly be different today...

Cyprus will only have such politicians in our dreams...

There's a thread somewhere where we posted evidence of Downer's involvement in a dodgy "think tank" type of company, and of approaches made to selected individuals in Cyprus to support their thesis.

Similar things happened leading up to the 2004 AP referendum that the late TPap was complaining about and Bananiot denies!

PS: If I remember well, Downer had “dinner” recently at MD’s holiday home somewhere up in the mountains!

I know the think tank he is involved in , and it is the very same think tank I am a member of along with 2 prominent advisers on Cyprus.

Furthermore, AD is powerless to influence any policy decisions from either side. This is not his mandate. You can blame Christofias for any failings, because Downer does not propose anything, and approaches the talks with realism, which means that he is almost certain that an agreement will NOT be reached...

And btw, the think tank I refer too is nothing more than a Political Sciences think tank which has Australia's leading political scientists, some of which were also advisers to the Australian Government about Cyprus...

They are just academics of some global note, from various universities....They do not serve any dark imperialist interests.

I can assure you, that AD is there to do his job and chair the talks.

Unfortunately, whether there is a solution or not, is entirely up to GC politicians but even more so it is up to Ankara.

The Australian Government can influence Ankara, and so can the US and UK. But it is up to YOU to tap into these conduits, because these nations have much more important issues to attend to which usually fall in line with their shared global interests. Sadly, Cyprus is not even on the radar.
