Getting a website high on SEO takes ages and can cost alot of money. Advertising in related magazines/websites is the way. In my opinion, anyway.

It does if you're serious about it. TIME and MONEY are both factors. High SE rankings used to be what i was responsible for, working for a quite big developer company and boy was it a hussle :)

Yes, that is the key. Most people seem not to understand the role of web sites and use them as mere repetitions of their advertising campaigns. The clue here is to minimise the extent of traditional (paper) media ads, and amplify the message in the web site which has much lower costs. But traditional minded businessmen draw you to their site where they repeat their slogan but do not COMMUNICATE anything about their product or service. This is how most Greek and Cypriot companies use the web. Not the way to do it.

There are so many websites in Cyprus that are awful. I have only seen a small handful of them which cut the mustard!!!
