Where do you add your thoughts??

Here is my submission:

Don't come to Cyprus. You'll get ripped off, let down and the flight is too damn long! Oh, and let's not forget the locals are rude, uneducated morons!

I think that about sums Cyprus up!

You're actually better going to Spain this year, where it's cheaper and although the Spaniards don't like the Brits, at least they don't pretend otherwise simply to get your money off you - they way the Cypriots do!

It makes me laugh to see how few tourist are here this year! The greedy Cypriot businesses are struggling, and it's their own fault for ripping people off for years! haha

Cyprus is a very racist place.

No kidding. Soon as I can arrange it, I'm out of here.

I'll give you an example:

A shop was selling 6 pack bottles of water, there was a sign outside stating £1.25.

I picked up a pack and took it inside, went to the back of the shop to pay. Before I did, I thought I better ask the price (for the very reason of being ripped off for being a Brit). The Cypriot owner looked me up and down and then scorned "£1.95".

Outrageous! And this is NOT the only example I have had of being ripped off over here. I have many friends who have had the same kind of attitude from the Cypriots.

There is no other word for it - racist!

I think it's a Larnaca thing, because I've never had any trouble in Paphos or Ayia Napa.

Plain and simple, Cypriots don't want tourists in their precious Larnaca.

So have you considered moving to another part of the island.
And if its only in larnaca that you are having this problem then why rip all cyprus and the people to part and just stick to the locals that are being outrageous.

6 pack of 1 litter bottles or the small ones?

What difference does that make???

The point is that although the bottles were marked £1.25 outside the shop, she made up the price to suit and tried to rip me off.

Not the first time that's happened to me either, or my friends/family.

Fair comment Brother.

I apologise to the rest of Cyprus and it's locals.

So ex-pat what more serious issues have you had that you can talk about, the bottle's of water was a fair example but hardly enough to form the opinions you have.

Why you don't just answer the question?

It makes a difference because 1.95 is about the average price for a 6 pack of 1 litter bottles in kiosks and mini markets. In big supermarkets you can find them a bit cheaper, but nowhere near 1.25

So if its a 6 pack of 1 litter bottles then the 1.25 price was a mistake.
