and his cooking is crap!

but why personal attacks? if it were on issues relating to a response then it would be of relevance. but when the "banter" resorts to personal attacks then people get upset, and this is the outcome that the attacker wants.

Personal attacks !!!!..goodness gracious if you think these are personal attacks then think your self lucky you wern't around a couple of years ago when the likes of Dinos Skaliotis and Lysi and the ilk were around now that was fun.

Oh happy daze

Ah Lysi, I had forgotten all about him(her?), the Golden age of CF before the Sun set on its Empire. It did get a bit rough at times - I had to look most of the words up in a Dictionary.

I tell you what I do miss: GR's allocated name changes; recently we had the 'Blue Bafoon', but there was 'Rebel without a Clue' and a host of others.

Maybe ask our friend GR to start a new topic......'the name change'. I wonder what he would come up for mine?

Lysi, I remember her/him/it. Blimey, now that was abuse/attacking. I only spoke to Lysi a few times and each conversation wasn't that nice......good daze yes Rich!

I am sorry, but "newbies" must have had a look at the site before the joined, so they should know what to expect.

The more experienced members (I wont say older to avoid ageism), "don't suffer fools gladly"*, so we take the p*ss when people post things that belong on Cyprus Dying!

*"It is a Biblical expression (2 Corinthians 11:19). In this verse it is used in the positive sense, as the Corinthian Church is prepared to suffer fools gladly. To understand its meaning, one has to be aware of the background. Paul is using irony. The Corinthian Church has turned away from his authoritative teaching and is listening to all kinds of half-baked ideas from ill-informed people. They are, in other words, all too happy to put up with stupid people, while rejecting him.

Nowadays it tends to be used in the negative sense. "I don't suffer fools gladly" means that I am intolerant of people who are stupid, I am irritated by foolishness."

Don't turn this into a religious conversation, some stuff should never be discussed online and in my opinion religion is one of them :)

it may be his humour but why does he have to determine that the CF has to be run to his expectation of cruel humour?

true... i just don't like it when people quote the bible and twist meanings to that of what they want it to mean. it's a big book of many stories that can be very misunderstood and rightly should not be quoted in a forum that allows for many religions.

It's just a book. Like every other book. He just found the quote he wanted in there :) Look at it that way else this could drift off into something we really wouldn't want in here :)
