well let me start by saying both are very good phones but personaly i have the nokia n97 white..
but the iphone 3gs would be for my brothers birthday on monday :d
the iphone has its ups and down.. but you have to decide what suits you best..
the iphone 3gs has more then double of the ram that the nokia n97 does 256mb where as its about 125mb on the nokia n97 which makes playing good quality movies and tv episodes play smoothly on the iphone and any good quality movies on the n97 play badly
the iphone 3gs has the same languages in the options no matter where you buy it.. and the new software gets released to everyone at the same time on the same date.. but new firmware on the nokia n97 gets released country by country.
the iphone 3gs gps is rubbish because it uses google maps where as the nokia n97 has its own built in program for gps..
the iphone 3gs cant send and recieve files with bluetooth
the iphone 3gs you cant change your sms tone or put a theme and even though app store is very good apple limit what you can and cannot put in the app store.. they limit you.
there is no flash on the camera so come night you cant take any pics.. there is also a low 3mp camera where as on the n97 its a 5mp
ovi store on the n97 is a copy of app store which sucks but unlike the iphone i can download many apps and games from websites send it to my phone and install it.. and any app or game i have for the iphone i have for the n97..
the qwerty keyboard makes it much easier to text.. i hate the online touch screen keyboard for the iphone i hate that everythign is touch screen
but the touch screen is a lot more sensative and i never use the touch screen on the nokia.
nokia listen to customer wants where as apple have most functions crippled and show off about adding mms which by the way i have not managed to get it to work with cyta.. its not like the nokia where you can send the settings from the cyta website and install from the phone it does not work with the iphone.. which is not a problem if you dont use mms.
the nokia n97 you can add more storage.. personally for me 32GB is enough but for some who need mroe space the n97 allows you to put another 16GB of memory.
also the iphone does nto allow background processes so if i want to do a few things at the same time i have to close one app and open the other.. even though it has double the ram of the nokia n97 and would be easily able to handle it..
the nokia with less ram can do it but its not very good having many apps open because it easily freezes with many open..
the front screen on the nokia n97 what you have is something called widgets which you can add or delete contect and easily open it..
but the list goes on and for me the n97 is the best.. but it depedns what you use it for.. you should try both maybe you might like the iphone more
i hope this helps ..
plus there will be a n97 mini so if you chose the nokia i would wait for the n97 mini
