Mosque in Avdimou is being restored

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

What a shame. I started this thread with a small news article about some well intentioned people who are trying to make a positive contribution towards reconciliation. Look where it has gone!

Reconciliation???? Maybe you are not aware of the fact that Turkey invaded and continues to illegally occupy half of an independent European country. There is only one solution and that is for the occupiers to leave. If someone came to your house, threw you out in the street, raped and killed your neighbors then moved in would you be willing to kiss and make up after some period of time. Bearing in mind that they weren't going to give you your house back. Truthfully answer that question.

How can we have peace when you are looking for excuses to continue the war you started? To have peace the war should end. And to end the war justice has to be served.

Correction, to end war sign the peace agreement. If there was justice involved, there would be no war in the first place. As soon as war begins, justice is out of the window. That's why Germany gave land to France, Czecks and Poland at the end of WW2. Justice had nothing to do with it.

French troops entered Alsace-Lorraine in November 1918 at the end of the World War I and the territory reverted to France at the Treaty of Versailles of 1919.

The area was annexed by Nazi Germany in 1940, but reverted to France in 1945 at the end of World War II and has remained a part of France since.

In 1871 the region was made up of 93% of Alsace (7% remained French) and 26% of Lorraine (74% remained French). For historical reasons, specific legal dispositions are still applied in the territory.

So it's okay for the Turks to steal and destroy, but you don't like it when the same is done to you. You are right I could never live with a backward culture and if the border is ever removed I will leave Cyprus. The idea of a giant wall sounds good to me before you pollute the rest of Cyprus just like you have done in France and Germany. European my ass. BTW I am not GC. It is not only the Greeks who hate the Turks, but most of the civilised world and anyone who has had dealings with them.

I'm so pleased. I wonder if you're human.
