I have many friends who have beautiful lovely pitbulls. I dont think, somebody respect this stupid law. I have found my pibull girl at the street and she is equal member of our family. They should prohibit the dog fighting, but not specific breeds. There is no evidence that pitbull are more agressive then other dogs.

Prohibited: Dogs belonging to the following breeds: American pit bull or pit bull terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentina, Fila Bra-sileiro.

Strange, because that was exactly what they were bred for ... to be aggressive; for example in dog fighting and bear baiting .. or you sure they are clever enough to distinguish between a toddler/baby and another dog?

It is morally wrong to breed dogs of any description when there are homeless dogs in shelters. Moreover ... it is reckless to breed this particular dog and as B25 points out it may even be illegal.

If you sell them to someone, you should make sure they are respected as potential killing machines (more so than the average dog) and should NEVER be left unsupervised.

Your attitude is, frankly a little worryingly, irresponsible ...

Please have them neutered.

Agree, like the giant panda, they should be allowed to die out. Or perhaps a Korean cook could suggest a recipe.......

There are two things that make Pitbulls dangerous dogs...1. Ignorance 2. Bad owners.
Who we need to be punishing are the owners that train these dogs to bite and fight. If your pit bulls are dangerous than you have no one to blame but yourself.

Do you know how many compliments I get on my dogs good behavior and how many people want to buy my dogs (I own also another prohibited DOGO ARGENTINO) when I take them out in public because of their willingness to listen and obey? Their drive to please is the most impressive aspect of this breed for me.

You want some true information people??? Talk to your veterinarian! Ask them what they think about Pit Bull Terrier! I guarantee you any of the veterinarians would much rather see an Pitbull walk through the door any day than a host of other breeds including Shar-Peis, Rottweilers, Labradors etc.

Man kind is the most dangerous animal on this planet:-( Yes, Pit Bull Terriers attract owners who lack moral character. This is not to say all Pit Bull owners lack moral character.

i hate people that tar every dog with the same brush pitbulls are a very good dog to have round children there is nothing wrong with them trust some silly post before but bet you did not know that the american pit bull has the highest awards of any dog even more than ya border collie it is less likley to bite you than an american cocker spanniel belive it or not i hate hate people that dont know nothing about the breed and start to say terrible things about it they are the people that see 1 attack in the paper and thats it they AREa killing machine. Yes they are in the wrong hands but any dog is look on the internet and see how many people die a day from smoking driving to fast or drinking but thats ok you can tax all that but 1 idiot owns a pitbul and causes harm to a child then we ban the breed why not ban strong drinks or fast cars they do more harm than 1 or 2 dog attacks a year. i use to have a english bull terrier who was brill no trouble and they were the original pit dog who lucky enough not to be banned i hate dog fighting would never want to see but pit buls are terrific pets not just for the pit thats just said by closed minded people who should just stick with there little cats sorry but there is more trouble in the world than people going on about a harmful dog breeds

My wife is a canine behaviorist and she agrees with the last two posts, pit bulls although suffer from terribly bias reporting in the media { just as the great white shark} are in fact one of the most loyal and subservient and loving pets you could wish for, and it is the owners of the trained fighting dogs that are to blame. Alas small minded peoples attitudes and perceptions are much more difficult to change than the behavior of a dog.

The only reasons to own a pitbull is either your a wimp, your into dog fighting or your a drug dealer.
