Do you know why many people always end up reinstalling Windows when they have a tech problem they can't fix?
Because they don't really know how to fix Windows problems so they are quick to assume they've tried "everything"!

i have connected two desktop PC`s to my router Speedtouch 585v6 now both pcs are running so slow and even freezing frequently. even if we unplug one of the pcs the problem is still occurring do i need a new or better router? have i broken it? . i have reset the router by pushing in the reset button on the back.
i have done a bandwith test the results were:
Download 1.96 mbps
Upload 0.15 mbps
Ping test result was:
line quality B+
Ping 46ms
Jitter 7ms
unable to test packet loss.
although i have done all these tests i don't even know what they mean in terms of good bad or indifferent.
could anyone give a bit of free advice before i go to the garden shed and find some rope to end my technophobia nightmare once and for all.
frustratingly

I agree with the bloke on the other site that it is a good idea to check the IP addresses.

Simple test... If both PCs work perfectly individually then you know the problem isn't related to their disc or O/S installation.
