"Cypriots should have priority as it is their country. "

This coming from a group of TCs who have experienced the onslaught of settlers shows what I have posted several times in here. Cyprus with several hundred thousand expatriates needs to have a programme of repatriation with serious incentives for people to return.

It is the one aspect over which we can claim derogation from the EU acquis and get it. No other EU country has a comparable proportion of its population expatriated as a resul of political problems.

But of course our leaders, GC and TC, do not give a flying fuck about expats. They are too busy thinking of the settlers. This attitude reflect the overall thinking with which both sides go to the negotiating table. Then they give us crap about a solution by Cypriots for Cypriots. Yes, for those Cypriots who are connected to the koumbaros network and settlers.

VP said:

"50.000 TC with "RoC" passports they would have to provide housing wages government jobs and places in their parliament etc etc... "

If they do, then what? And moreover, if they do all that with EU funding, then what? THen what happens to the "legitimacy" of the TRNC as the touted protector of TCs? What if the ROC onde again has a TC vice president. how will Turkey react to his saying that it should withdraw from Cyprus, especially if he says it in the EU parliament or the UN?

Clever ideas usually have double ended effects.

Turkey would have to recognize the "RoC" the TRNc would become null and void and the Turkish army would leave as a settlement would have been found.

Gcs are not clever enough nor do they have the vision to accept Tcs back into the "RoC" as they would have great problems sharing what thye have stolen for 46 years.

why does Turkey want a reunification?? is it so this aids in their approval of joining the EU?? if this is the case then it is very wrong. Turkey is not European, so why would they want to join the European Union so much??

The EU will be watching over you like a hawk feel free to put a step wrong...but then again you could always prove us right that you would flout EU cirteria if it did not suit you.

I am having visions of Turkish Ships few miles out of Limassol ready to protect the TC population, because my friend lives there and he is under Turkish Gurantee.

If talks fail the TCs should really consider taking such a step and claim our rights under the 1960 agreements, that would put a cat amongest GC pigeons....50.000 TC with "RoC" passports they would have to provide housing wages government jobs and places in their parliament etc etc...
Yes, when they have completed their military service in the RoC national guard.

In a technical section like the CyProb, veteran posters are a lot worse than an Admin because they can rip you apart by exposing your lack of knowledge!

i asked an intelligent question.

You asked a stupid question that is based on a couple of dumb assumptions...

Dumb assumption #1: Turkey wants "reunification"!

Dumb assumption #2: Geographic location is an EU accession prerequisite!

As I said, stick to general section where you can cry to Admin because nobody can save you from your ignorance in here!
