“I will protect my state, even I get branded as the actor of the non-solution”, TRNC Prime Minister Dervis Eroglu has said.

The Premier delivered his message at a dinner event in the Turkish town of Iskenderun yesterday, where he has been holding a series of contacts as guest of the Iskenderun Young Businessmen’s Association.

Dervis Eroglu stressed that the struggle of Turkism in Cyprus has not finished.

“The international community does not give up. We established our own state and the international community keeps on calling us to the negotiations table to make us abolish this state. That means, our struggle has not yet been completed” the Premier explained.

Mr Eroglu said that the Turks of Cyprus now continue their struggle for living under the secure roof of an independent state, which is the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Making an emphasis on the ‘legality’ of the TRNC, the Prime Minister went on saying that the Greek Cypriot Administration, which destroyed the partnership state of 1960, must agree on the fact that now there are two states and two peoples in Cyprus.

“No one has the right to leave us under the Greek Cypriot Side’s mercy by trying to persuade us for a federation, while federations they provided us as examples are being destroyed” Eroglu added.

As part of his contacts, Mr Eroglu also delivered a speech at a conference under the title ‘Cyprus and the European Union’.

they arent dreams turkish are a minority so get over it..

inbstead they chant two states just like the nationalists did before the turkish invaded and screaming the top half of cyprus is turkish and there is no such thing as turkish cypriot...

keep chanting we want two states see how far it gets the turks just like the greeks who where doing the same for enosis...

why stop here why dont the turks split every country in two that they have a minority.. i bet if they had the power they would.

Minority status, the evil that TCs tried to avoid and ended up reliving as a minority in the TRNC bowing to the superiority of the imported settlers, who according to Erdoghan are OK since they are "nationals". Add to that the changes in place names, the enforced taking of surnames, the attempt by the "Supreme Boradcastin Board" to abolish TC dialect, the Koran lessons, and the circle is complete. Oh, I forgot, now the TCs can take a walk to the latest Kemal statue and look up at his stallion's balls, the latest attraction in northern Nicosia. Talk about symbolism!
