As far as "tyranny" goes, it is us Cypriots who have been oppressed by you for centuries. It is you who invaded our island with the aim to enslave, exploit us and steal our lands. So don't pretend to be the victim when you are in fact the aggressors.

The ownership all Cyprus. including the north part is by over 80% to Greek Cypriots. And what "international agreements" do you have to back up your illegalities? Annan plan is null and void. The 1960s agreements are about one unitary state.

We have no problem to share this country with your minority. We share Cyprus with other minorities as well without any problem. We will share Cyprus with you in the same way that Turks share Turkey with the Greek and Kurdish minorities. We are not living in the Ottoman era that you could treat Cypriots as slaves and grand to yourselves privileges on our expense.

 Zan, we already know that YFred is uneducated. Are you uneducated too, or making "arguments" that can sound convincing to the uneducated ones is all that you can do?

I discuss the past just to present the historical truth. I don't demand that systems and practices of the past should continue to apply today. It is you who claims that because crimes like ethnic cleansing and human rights violations were fine some centuries ago it means they continue to be fine today. On the contrary I support the 21st century system of democracy, human rights and equality of all citizens without racist or other discriminations.

Piratis
If your rights can not be "brushed away" ours can not either. Therefore the only thing that can be done is to returned to the 1960 agreements.

I do not want to brush away any of your rights but it was you that wanted to water down mine (Akritas) to a degree where you could sell us out to Greece. Thats why we do not trust you and feel that returning to those agreements would mean that in a matter of months you would be demanding a second version of Akritas so as to brush our rights to one side and dominate the whole island.

It is you who is using Turkish troops to our determent for centuries now. So don't pretend to be the victim when in fact you are the aggressors. If there will be any changes from the 1960s agreements those should be to make Cyprus more democratic and more free. Otherwise no changes can be made.

The presence of the Turkish Troops are a direct result of your trying to brush my rights to one side and the 11 years of discrimination and persecution we suffered after you signed up to build a unitary state where everyone was equal...didnt take long before you renegged and bloodied your hands.

Cyprus can be united but times have changed and we are all I can only hope much wiser but due to past errors we have to incorporate measures that will build confidence and trust over time frames otherwise trying to force a solution will only bring bad times all over again. We have lived side by side peacefully for 35 years, the GCs have to accept us as equal partners in BBF with a political balance that will not expose us to dangers manipulated by GC majority to do just what we fear and this is reduce us to just another minority which is what appears to be your real agenda. The more GCs oppose safeguards and guarantees the more TCs will demand them in the fear that once we let our guard down GCs will adopt their real agenda of taking away our rights for an effective say in our own country.

Oy, who said I am uneducated. I told you I got my degree from Trahones Uni in Lurucina-by-Sea. What are you on about.
The question is are you happy about your government breaking the very laws it creates?
8500 homes built on TC land that was not expropriated and can never be expropriated is breaking the law, whichever way you look at it. Even Bafidis can see that and he is upside down for god sake. There are some lucky TC who will get their homes free by the roc.
