The state controlled languages of Gr and Tr in CY must accomodate both the CY dialects, for those who wish to use them.

Tim, there r DJs/programmers that intentionally degenerate the TC dialect. The recommendation of Supreme Broadcasting Board is to avoid degenerating TC dialect not banning it's correct usage.

Otherwise it would lead banning all TCs(especially Denktaş, Soyer, Eroğlu who all talk with TC dialect) talking at any radio or Tv station.

I fully endorse moves to safeguard and preserve the free usage of the "Turkish-Cypriot" dialect.

The surest way to preserve this dialect is to prevent Turkish being one of the OFFICIAL languages on Cyprus.

That would ensure the TCs would not be corrupted by Turkish and can carry on using their TC dialect freely at home, socially etc etc.

(NB .. dialects are not acceptable as OFFICIAL languages, so you see you are stuck supporting my plan, again )

The Turks have done a pretty good job of clearing out the T/Cs. It's their speciality after all. Stick them in an enclave, "protect" them with 40,000 troops, over-run them with settlers, then ban their language. And hardly a word of protest.
