For the TCs, like it or not, the GCs did not negotiate, beg or ask for special dispenation to get in; the GCs met the standard.

They got in their own right.

Some may believe the GCs went to those extraordinsry lengths just to piss off the Turks, however EU membership represets hoops that the Turks can't jump through ... why?

However, other believes that one of the reasons the GCs joined the EU to offer their TC brothers a true alternative to Turkish rule, and those that have taken RoC passports have in effect accepted this...
