Why is everyone wasting their time?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

The most bitter man in Cyprus. After serving the most hard-lined govt of all times under Spyros Kyprianou has tried every trick in the book to get back on the gravy train. Having failed all attempts he's decided to slander every action his and every other govt took since then with the sole explanation that "he was not in those govts to guide them better". Tell me Nicos, when you were kolos and vradji with good ole Spyros why had you never mentioned that he was a cowardly Athens follower in his face?

This man and his grandiose ideas even tried to become UN Sec General at some point

I believe the most his pitiful insignificant party ever managed was 0.2% of the vote in one election.

In what way was Spyros Kypianou the most hard lined Government in Cyprus?

He established the DIKO party and was President of Cyprus between 1977-1988. During his 11 years as President, Cyprus experienced unprecedented economic growth and development despite the handicap of partition and illegal occupation.

Please count me in, I would be more than happy to assist.

Chill-out folks!

The last two suggestions are the most brainless and irresponsible I have ever seen on this forum!Armed conflicts NEVER solve problems and just create more and I honestly cannot see any level-headed person wanting to go down that road ever again!
This is just the kind of knee-jerk reaction that has lead to sorrow and destruction all over the world on so many occasions and I honestly credited most contributors to this site as being sensible enough to understand that, but maybe I was wrong??
Without even thinking about the strategic and statistical aspects, which are blatantly in Turkeys favour anyway, the damage it would do to the island and the population does not even bear thinking about!
Yiangos Mikkelides said that one in three Cypriots have psychological problems of one kind or another and I think I can see what he means...

Spyros 'spy kyp'

Postby cymart » Thu Oct 08, 2009 4:27 pm

Was a dissillusioned, bitter and totally unrealistic disaster of a leader who had even worse advisors, among them the Limassol elite who became very rich after 1974,largely as a result of his policies! He even tried taking speech lessons to make his voice sound like Makarios and another of his schemes was to hold a mock kidnapping of his eldest son to gain support and try to blame it on a German diplomat, which lead to a crisis in relations with that country and made his government an international laughing stock! As if that was not enough he even managed to upset Andreas Papandreou at one time and went to Athens to try and put things right, only to find no high-ranking officials at the airport when he arrived!
I even met the guy once on a plane going to London when he was on the way to New York to meet Denktash and tried to warn him that the other side would agree to 28% on the territorial aspect, but he insisted they would not and was of course proved wrong!I suggested he get some decent advisors and I don't think he liked that much either! No wonder Rolandis resigned.....although he was also in Clerides government later on.

Nobody suggested we travel thousands of miles away to invade and occupy another sovereign country like the US, UK, and a few other war mongers are doing with YOUR approval.

And don’t even think about telling me you don’t approve of all that because we haven’t ever seen you protest it in the relevant sections have we now???

One may have the best intentions for a peaceful existence but that doesn’t necessarily mean that your neighbors are the same…. ie: Turkey.

There’s a world of a difference between liberating one’s enslaved territory and attacking another sovereign country… unless of course you see the “TRNC” as a sovereign country that should be respected!

Without even thinking about the strategic and statistical aspects, which are blatantly in Turkeys favour anyway, the damage it would do to the island and the population does not even bear thinking about!

Well there lies your scandal! You obviously don’t like it when the odds are stacked up against you because I’m sure that had cowards like you had the clear upper hand (like the US always does attacking defenseless 3rd world nations) you’d be the first to encourage it while watching from a safe distance!

Yiangos Mikkelides said that one in three Cypriots have psychological problems of one kind or another and I think I can see what he means...

Mikkelides:

A daft fleabag of a man who scratches himself profusely even on camera because he’s never heard of personal hygiene let alone anything else medical!

His childish “analysis” of Cypriot society is comprised of 2-3 repeated sentences that could’ve just as easily come from a uneducated next door neighbor, that actually reflect his own childhood of being a mommy’s boy!

This weirdo has never even had a sexual relationship with a woman, or had a family of his own, yet he wants to advise others on social matters and the only reason he is sometimes aired on TV is so people can have good laugh after a hard day’s work… but for reasons Mikkelides CANNOT explain you seem to have missed it!

I think you are mistaking me for someone else-maybe you need a consultation with Yiangos in case you are already suffering from delusions and paranoia, like some other people who post on this site from both north and south! You have my deepest sympathy and I hope you get well soon..

Klerides was very caustic of the rejectionists, but then, he is a very level headed man. Another traitor, that is, according to the logic of B25.

Of course I know the calibre of these people. They are the same people that brought Turkey to Cyprus in the first place and the poor baggers think that they can redeem themselves with their nationalist/fascist slogans.

As far as drinking coffee and eating mahallebi with my friends is concerned, I do not need to give explanations to bigots. I have more in common with Halil than these people who are merely working for the final demise of Cyprus.

Its a good job your mate Klerides was oust as he would have sold our souls just as you are ready to. I'd sooner be a bigot than a traitor to my country and people. Asirkti malaka. You make me sick and ashamed to be a GC. When we have traitors like you amongst us, who needs the enemy?

I hope you choke on your next visit, I will gladly piss on your grave.
