What Role do you Personally want to Play, Post Solution?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I’d like to be appointed as head of Cyprus’ “Psychological Reconditioning Unit”, setup to deal with any Greek and/or Turkish nationalists who may attempt to cause anti-Cypriot upheaval.

The institution would include effective state funded remedies such as lobotomies, clinical mental rearrangements, and complete mental rebirths, all geared towards Cypriot nationalism… as it should be! :D

and from the same minute start counting your last days on earth

will you do anything to take off Greek or Turkish Flags from Cyprus?

both communities will kill you GR.

I’d have the full support of the mixed Police force and mixed National Guard... in fact the unit would be part of the mother-body tending to the country's overall security.

Anyone found in possession of such treasonous rags without a good excuse like “I was about to crap on it” or “tear it to peaces” will automatically be enrolled for a free and obligatory mental reconditioning. 8)

It is not necessary to DO anything. The dominant culture on the island will attract, rather than impose, speakers of the language.

If anyone wants to speak some other language they can. If official documents of the Federal government, and only that, are in two languages, then let them. As far as the EU goes, Greek is already an official language, so there is no need to do anything there.

Any energy expended on this issue would be better used elsewhere.

Nikitas there is a reason to talk about this issue.

a quite big numbers of TCs do not speak Greek.
Another big number Do not speak Greek or English even.

After unification how GCs and TCs will communicate? or do any real business. (Dont tell me that they are already coming everyday to GC for work and they have no problem)

Right now they are coming here only to do Construction business, and they really dont speak Greek or English, and they speak only Turkish. imagine when you will have office business together? what gonna help?

Christofias must talk to Talat that Greek test is compulsory before they get united. and whoever will pass the test will join new United Cyprus. (this way Settelers will run back to turkey also )

VP not all GC's are like Oracle. I would like to see Turkish and Greek as the official language.

If you care for Cyprus, you should only be interested in what is best for long term stability and get rid of your selfish outdated and outlandish requirements. For such a minuscule minority you will keep causing instabilities if you do not integrate with the ethos of a democratic EU state.

VP do not forget that the fascists on the forum are in the minority in Cyprus. Muhtar X knows that which is why perhaps he has adopted TPapa way of negotiation. Delay and hope that the other side walks away. If that should fail, do not recommend it in the referendum. We are used to it by now.

Why not ditch both languages for English?

Then you continue to support divisive policies .... Cyprus has gone into the EU with only Greek ... it is the first step to a stable solution!
