Lavrov: We will not exchange Abkhasia to North Cyprus

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

The GCs are in bed with Russia and Cuba well done...must make you feel good. Both those countries would sell the GCs down the river if they felt there was a profit in it for themselves..feel free to trust the Russians at your own peril.

With Russia I would agree with you, but I wouldn't put Cuba in the same category. They themselves have been suffering unfair isolation in the hands of the US and have stuck to their principles. We can learn a lot from Cuba.

Yep and like Cyprus, Cuba has had part of its territory occupied by their larger neighbour to be used as a military base.

Yep and she effectively controls all the UN resolutions too. So do you now appreciate my opinion on UN resolutions and what should be done with them?

Russia says no deals on north Cyprus recognition

Russia will not enter a deal implying the recognition of occupied northern Cyprus in exchange for Turkey's recognition of Abkhazia says Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

“We are not inclined to enter any deals following ‘scratch my back and I'll scratch yours’ logic. These are two absolutely different stories. These are different situations from the historical, moral and humanitarian points of view. Any bargaining is out of the question here,” Sergey Lavrov said.

“Each situation should be considered in its historical context,” he added.

If you're referring to Gitmo, then perhaps you should read up a little more on how that base came to be...
