TMT SOCIETY SAYS CYPRUS PROBLEM WON’T BE RESOLVED UNLESS TRNC IS RECOGNIZED
TMT Society has expressed the view that the Cyprus problem will no way be resolved unless the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is recognized.
This was voiced out in a written statement issued by the Society’s President Yilmaz Bora.
Having complained that the Greek Cypriot mentality on the Cyprus issue remains unchanged, Yilmaz Bora pointed out that the Turks of Cyprus are almost being ignored in the international arena as a result of the power of rhetorics used by the Greek Cypriot Side.
The President of the TMT Society said, the Greek Cypriot Leader Demetris Christofias’ avoidance to meet with the TRNC President Mehmet Ali Talat while they were both holding contacts in New York, is unacceptable.
He reminded of the fact that reciprocity is a ‘must’ in foreign affairs.
“If that’s the Greek Cypriot understanding, then we should not hesitate reciprocating with them in the same way” he noted.
Mr Bora added that the TRNC was established as a result of the Greek Cypriots’ one hundred-long barbaric struggle to remove the Turkish existence in Cyprus.
