I am now in Cyprus. Went driving a 4x4 in the mountains yesterday, going to the beach today and hope to do more partying, family dinners and drinking as the week goes on.
I came to assess the place to see if I could come and live here with my girlfriend (cypriate family here) and it all looks positive. I'll keep you posted.. and remember that free drink from a previous post...? It could well happen very soon.
So.. I'm off to the beach....

sorry.. I meant to add a message about the London issue. I have a friend who lost a friend, so just wanted to add my sympathies to all involved..
Didn't want to seem insensitive to the London issue. Life has go on though. As most Londoners have been saying.

Welcome to Cyprus voyou. Hope it helps you make your mind up one way or another.
BTW, had a BBQ on the beach last night, about 30 of us turned up. Not many places around the world where you can do that. Can't imagine myself doing this in good old Southend

I got sunburnt!! But just a little.
I went to the Akamas (Think thats right) in the 4x4 and that was cool enough.. but then we went snorkeling.. that was cool enough, but now I'm going out for a beer or 12. So I may be up late tomorrow.
I'll be going back to Spain.. to pack and move out here!
