Demilitarise Cyprus completely

Postby YFred » Wed Sep 30, 2009 12:13 pm

This is an idea that has been floating around for some time. Tim who we all respect as impartial suggested this recently in a post.
Here is a new worthwhile challenge. Will any of our more right wing, moderate or left wing GCs or TCs support this idea. I can guess two that will, any others?
In case it is not obvious that was my vote.

So now that Cyprus has built up a decent military machine, the pack of foreign wolves is suggesting that we tear it all down so they can have their way on Cyprus… fancy that!

Come and get it…

Reality and GR do not go well. More to the point is this topic one of the chapters to be negotiated?

You may discuss anything you want… :D even absurdities like Turkey having some imaginary divine right to all the firepower in the world while Cyprus having none, but don’t be offended if everyone laughs at you.

 Demilitarizing a country ALSO means that you accept OTHERS to "intervene" militarily as they see fit.

These are serious suicidal tendencies you’re displaying Palio, so a visit to a psychologist is strongly recommended…

Have you done your national service by any chance? If so, give me the unit number you served at.

Maybe Palio thinks it means to demilitarise Cyprus of the Turkish Military ...

... that would make sense!
