I am absolutely sure that the very sign "IF YOU DARE COME AND GET IT!" was the motto written in huge letters on one of the buildings ınside the National Guard military complex in Famagusta - so that it could be seen from the main road leading into the Turkish quarter (old city).

Guess what GR? That is exactly where I did my military training, because TC soldiers occupy it now. The new motto reads "I DARED AND I'VE GOT IT!"

Do not tempt faith my dear...

I served in OYK big guy, and you don't want to know what's written on ours and how we carried it out on a few of your "heros" a few years ago.

Yeah, heres the tough guy who took a lolly from a 3 year old and thinks he was hard.

The NG of '74 were tied up, blind folded and had shite weaponry, what you did was not brave nor tough, it was very easy for you.

The today NG is a different animal altogether, you won't find it so easy now.

As GR says, IF YOU DARE!

As for the poll, these is only one option, All foreign troops off the Island and develop the NG as a fighting force for the protection of the sovereign rights of the RoC.

This poll is shit and biased to suit the invaders.

It's so funny how the Turkish really feel that 74 was a great victory. It was a failure from a military standpoint. The Cyprus natinal gaurd is no where near what it was in 74. Wheather the Turks want to realize it or not the CNG is a real deterant. Having the CNG gives Greece and Cyprus the advantage, there is no way Turkey can handle both a once and if you add other possible support from Armenia, Kurds and Serbia your looking at destablizing Turkey. So NO to the question, we need to keep modernizing th CNG and increase Greek forces.

Funny how the Turks are currently negotiating the withdrawal of the Turkish army from north Cyprus, isn't it? The Greek Cypriots haven't had to fire a single shot. How did that happen?

It's not a competition London, the CNG has built a strong force that would more than hold up to the Turkish military. And they did this without the help of the United States and NATO unlike the Turks. The CNG can handle Turkish forces but when you put in the Greek military in the mix I thinks it's the Turks who are in trouble.
