Physical demilitarization of any country does not make any sense unless the minds of it's inhabitants not demilitarized.

yes i did my army.. years ago

but as oracle said i miss understood i thought it meant to not allow turkey or greece to invade or have any say in cyprus..( no garantore powers)

like turkey army go home and they have no right to ever send troops again and not have one single army man on the island

like hell will the cypritos remove the army.. cyprus like any other country has a right to protect itself. against so many invadors that come trying to steal cyprus.. including turkey who the cypriots will get rid of them to eventually.

Someone should remind these six nincompoops, that Greece and Turkey were the 2 out of the 3 “protectors” under the 1959 “Treaty of Guarantee”, yet they were both very quick to violate Cyprus and kill Cypriots!!! (With Greece beating Turkey on the draw)

So now that Cyprus has built up a decent military machine, the pack of foreign wolves is suggesting that we tear it all down so they can have their way on Cyprus… fancy that!

I am absolutely sure that the very sign "IF YOU DARE COME AND GET IT!" was the motto written in huge letters on one of the buildings ınside the National Guard military complex in Famagusta - so that it could be seen from the main road leading into the Turkish quarter (old city).

Guess what GR? That is exactly where I did my military training, because TC soldiers occupy it now. The new motto reads "I DARED AND I'VE GOT IT!"
