Physical demilitarization of any country does not make any sense unless the minds of it's inhabitants not demilitarized.

Cyprus should cut the conscription nonsense and create a professional army with paid commandos and what not...not force all the children to waste two years of their lives!

cyprus is a country we dnt need no stupid garantore powers

 Demilitarizing a country ALSO means that you accept OTHERS to "intervene" militarily as they see fit.

These are serious suicidal tendencies you’re displaying Palio, so a visit to a psychologist is strongly recommended…

Have you done your national service by any chance? If so, give me the unit number you served at.

Maybe Palio thinks it means to demilitarise Cyprus of the Turkish Military ...

... that would make sense!

yes i thought so "Demilitarise" not have any garantore powers .. i.e turkey army.. go home me thinks its time to google i seems to have miss understand the question :S

yes i did my army.. years ago

but as oracle said i miss understood i thought it meant to not allow turkey or greece to invade or have any say in cyprus..( no garantore powers)

like turkey army go home and they have no right to ever send troops again and not have one single army man on the island

v. 1. (demilitarized) remove all military forces from (an area): a demilitarized zone.

like hell will the cypritos remove the army.. cyprus like any other country has a right to protect itself. against so many invadors that come trying to steal cyprus.. including turkey who the cypriots will get rid of them to eventually.

google power haha.. i think i want to change my vote to dont Do not demilitarise... the only military forces that should be removed is JERKISH ARMY!!!!!!!

DO NOT demilitarise and and do NOT allow Turkey and Greece to intervene to protect.

I can’t believe six goofballs chose…

“Demilitarise and allow Turkey and Greece to intervene to protect”

Someone should remind these six nincompoops, that Greece and Turkey were the 2 out of the 3 “protectors” under the 1959 “Treaty of Guarantee”, yet they were both very quick to violate Cyprus and kill Cypriots!!! (With Greece beating Turkey on the draw)

The only people that would choose the option above are TCs.

Come and get it…

I am absolutely sure that the very sign "IF YOU DARE COME AND GET IT!" was the motto written in huge letters on one of the buildings ınside the National Guard military complex in Famagusta - so that it could be seen from the main road leading into the Turkish quarter (old city).

Guess what GR? That is exactly where I did my military training, because TC soldiers occupy it now. The new motto reads "I DARED AND I'VE GOT IT!"

Do not tempt faith my dear...
