Thank you for the condolences

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Thank you for the condolences

Postby Expatkiwi » Wed Sep 30, 2009 5:38 am

I want to thank those of you who conveyed their condolences to me for my son's death. True, we differ sharply on the Cyprus Problem, but your gestures really touched me, and I wanted to convey my thanks to you here on the forum personally.

One person asked why I didn't seem to be so cut up about my son's passing, judging from my posts. Believe me, even though it's been nearly four months since Jared's passing, not a day goes by that I don't think about him. My wife is still hurting badly and I worry about her greatly, but as my family had told me from New Zealand: someone has to be strong, and to keep a semblence of normality, which is what I've been trying to do.

I pray to God that what my wife and I suffered does not happen to any of you. It is a pain that I wouldn't wish upon anybody. :(

I just like to remind everybody that the above person justifies the murders of Isaak and Solomou and the ethnic cleansing of Greek Cypriots. I am sorry for your son. I am also sorry for you but not because of your son. I am sorry for you because you are such an immoral crime and illegalities supporter.

Expatkiwi, adding my sincere condolences to you and your wife. I had not known of this and am so sorry. Wishing you strength and peace.

As for you, Sotos, bugger off. Can't you confine the political issues to other threads?

You bugger off. This is a political forum and all that this person has done so far in here is to justify crimes, murders and ethnic cleansing. I already said I am sorry for his son but just because his son had an accident this doesn't make Expatwiki a better person. He is the same immoral crime supporter that he has always been and such kind of people will receive no sympathy from me!! Accidents can happen to anybody. Supporting crimes and illegalities is his CHOICE!

Time is a great healer. It gets more bearable as time goes on.
But get her some professional help she sounds as though she may need it.

Hello Expatkiwi

I too have been deeply shocked by your revelation here on the forum and as I've already told you; I am so sorry your son's life has been cut short and you are experiencing one of life's worst trials.

This is a debating forum, as you know, so perhaps you feel you could be helped continuing as "normal" and posting. In which case that means you have taken the decision, in full knowledge of how probing some questions can be, that it's acceptable to discuss this in depth.

Who knows, it may help us all.

With your approval (inferred), perhaps you can satisfy our human curiosity as to why you have such a strong drive to continue your message of hateful (despised by the majority), view of partitioning Cyprus? Why?

It's a mystery to me, why someone without Cyprus-connections, other than some "friends" as you've indicated previously, would put himself through the emotional roller-coaster and expenditure of time, to post not one one but several forums to continue this message of desiring partition of Cyprus, plus independence and recognition of the "TRNC". Why?

As for my personal opinion to what you have done, may I just say that it is a disgrace to your son's memory that you have used his death to gain sympathy to your political position: although it does not surprise me. I agree with Sotos you came across as a racist and supporter of illegalities and you have not changed by this one personal tragedy. Nor surprisingly enough has it tempered your views to anything more humane, which is sometimes a consequence of personal tragedy.

Taking this as a paradigm, we learn that bad things don't only happen to good people ....

Finally, my condolences to your wife, both for her loss of a child and choice of husband.

You are vicious and venomous human I would say but it would be an insult to humanity. Suggestion that a person should stop doing anything because of a loss is disgraceful. You keep practicing your 16 century GO backward ideas yourself but please do not try to pass them on as normal. You are far from normal. Cyprus problem is not as one dimensional as you and sotos pretend. We are all allowed a free will and will express it when ever we feel like it and up to it.
I just want to give you a fair warning that I would post from my dying hospital bed.

Hisssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

This post goes to show how much of a selfish person you are. Im not surprised that some people want Cyprus to be partitioned, why on earth would they want to live with the likes of you. You are a disgrace. Take a good look at yourself before you start judging others!!!

There are times when we must surely leave our little political differences aside for a while in these very personal matters. This is one of those times.

My sincerest condolences Expat for your loss.
