If it took them three years to issue it then surely you should be alright to collect it in six months!

Siga-siga… remember? :lol:

Our Notary is in Windermere, not sure where you are ? Try your local area, all are trained lawyers and regulated. They just take all the hassle out of signing legal documents abroad.

Can't Criven give his dad's address to the Land Registry and get them posted?

I have been waiting since February 2005 but the developer says that he is about to release them any day now.

So maybe yes.

The Cypriot 'any day now' is more like about another 6 weeks, right? :)

We will see. The developer gave me this news about three weeks ago and has hung up a large hoarding announcing that the title deeds are about to be issued. I of course thought that we would be going to the land registry office immediately but it seems that he has passed all the papers on to a consultant to be sorted out. Not much longer, I hope.

Crivens

Embassy = High Commission!
The difference is that UK Embassies in ex-Comonwealth/Empire are High Commissions and ex-Comonwealth/Empire Embassies in the Uk are called High Commissions.

Ah, instead I used my time wisely and went to the pub. :)

So assuming I don't do the same thing tomorrow then what would I need to take to the Cypriot Embassy in London? I assume my passport, but is anything else a good idea? And what do I say to them when I get there, that I need an authorised signature to allow my dad/lawyer as power of attorney in Cyprus?

Cheers

Don't think so mate.

First give the pub a miss and go to a Notary first, get them to draw up and stamp the Power of Attorney and then take it with your passport to the CY High Com and ask them to countersign and stamp it as well. ... then go to pub.

Do as Bill says but ask the Notary to do the leg work. The relevant papers are sent via courier 24 hours and returned via the same route.
By the way who has been advising you in Cyprus ?
