Thirty-five years and the T/Cs are a minority within a minority. No recognition, an economy in ruins and going the way of the dodo and the woolly mammoth.

Thirty-five years and the G/Cs are prosperous, thriving in the EU and looking to screw the Turks in every international court. You'd better get ready because the fun has only started.

Hermes, you've got bloody cheek. You call this bloody fun. You will not be saying that after the agreement.

Ofcourse it's bloody fun! You wont get away with the spoils of war. That's called justice! What agreement are you talking about? 2 states is not an agreement. So I wouldn't have to much hope if I were you. See you in court

Don't worry Wallace, if there is no agreement, we will be on the same side personally speaking in the court.

From what I know Fred I will be the only 1 going to court. You don't need court rulings to get what belongs to you.

Ask Deniz to explain it to you. It is not as you are led to believe. You pay your taxes and 3 years on you still don't get your property. Absolute bollox as the saying goes.

We're not talking about Deniz.....we're talking about you and me. Go claim what is yours....I am doing the same. You have a right to your properties and to freedom of speech and freedom of movement. As long as I do not have these rights I will take the one that takes these rights from me to justice. Deniz should take the RoC to court if he does not get what belongs to him. I believe in justice for all Cypriots. And when I say Cypriots, I mean the ones from before the invasion. Settlers have no rights here.

Do you know how much a court case would cost?

thus far all court cases have ruled against the Turks and their barbaric invasion and occupation of Cyprus, they would be expected to pay compensation as well as court costs ;)

Judging by what I hear it will have to come to EU court so I rather wait few more months to see the agreement and the choices they will gives us before I go enriching the old lawyers' pockets.

Depends what you want. I'm going for the compensation for not being able to enjoy the property for the last 35 years. You should do the same   Sue Turkey for not having access to your property 8)

If you ever went to Cyprus, you would find that most TCs still refer to this town by the old Turkish Cypriot name of 'Omorfo'.

A curious piece of trivia. There is a quarter in Anakara known as 'Omorfo Quarter' (Omorfo Mahallesi), as you can see from the address on the following CV:

http://www.cmpe.boun.edu.tr/enterface07 ... 187416.pdf

Surely if it was right for Celal Hordan to come from Turkey and 'Turkify' all the place names that sounded too foreign to him, it is only right and proper that this quarter in Ankara be renamed 'Güzelyurt Mahallesi'. It is only fair, isn't it?
