well if tmt did not start the war in the first place eoka would not have counter attacked...

it all goes back to the tmt starting war in cyprus so they have an excuse to invade... you cant blame the cypriots for protecting themselvs against turks then play the innocent ones..

The Annan plan gave Morphou back to its rightful owners. May be it wasn't that bad after all. Worth noting that the residents of Morphou voted in favour for the Annan plan back in 2004 and in effect, many of them, were prepared to become refugees for the 3rd time in their lifetime.

The ultra nationalist Greek Cypriots of this forum couldn't care less if the refugee problem started in 1963 for some Cypriots. For them, the problem started in 1974 and Turkey was the sole part responsible. This is how the nationalists in general try to conceal their own treacherous involvement in the unfolding events after independence was granted in 1959.

Welcome back, Bananiot. You have been missed.!

You are assuming of course, that this is all for real. The question is, will Turkey keep Morphou for the sake of losing the EU.? Will Turkey keep the north for sake of losing the EU.? I don't think so.!

2004 AP was not just about Morphou where it was a make or break deal to have a settlement. I don't need to tell you, that it was not.!

Thanks Kikapu, remember though that for a pragmatist like me, there are no solutions but options. Now I need to take Stacy for a walk, or is it the other way round?
