POTATO RANKS FIRST IN GREEN LINE TRADE

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

POTATO RANKS FIRST IN GREEN LINE TRADE

Postby halil » Tue Sep 29, 2009 11:50 am

Export to the Greek Cypriot Side has increased within the framework of the EU Commission’s Green Line Regulation in Cyprus.

According to recent statistics, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has made export to the Greek Cypriot Side worth of 4,410,000 Euros in total, in the first 8 months of 2009.

According to the information obtained from the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce, the highest increase of export was observed in vegetables within the Green Line trade.

As in previous years, the potato ranks first.

Meanwhile, work is still underway to allow honey and snail trade within the Green Line Regulation.

The Green Line Regulation has been in force since 1 May 2004. It defines the terms under which EU law applies to the movement of persons, goods and services between the TRNC and the Greek Cypriot Administration.

Halil, let us hope it does not progress at snail speed and we don't get stung for it.

All will know that the Occupied Karpas has the best snails.

Bleeders have pinched our majority share of the best snails in CY.

Products of 4.4 million euro were sold from the occupied areas to the free areas of the Republic of Cyprus during the first eight months of 2009

Turkish Cypriot daily Kibris newspaper (29.09.09) reports that products worth of 4.4 million euro were sold from the occupied areas to the free areas of the Republic of Cyprus during the first eight months of 2009 within the framework of the Green Line Regulation.

According to information acquired by the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, more than one fourth of these products are vegetables and mainly potatoes. The paper notes that while the sales from the occupied areas to the free areas of the Republic doubled in 2008 in comparison with 2007, the same tendency is observed in the first eight months of 2009 in comparison with the same period of 2008.

Kindly add this in your vocabulary please. TPapa was offerd the whole of Karpaz to be included but did not ask for it in case it made the plan more acceptable to the GC.

Which goes to show what his master plan was for nogotiation. No negotiation.

Your brains work at the speed of the snails. Have you had Lurucadi Snails, I bet they taste better than Karpaz.
