And I suppose you are also a devoutly religious Hellenic-nationalist communist?

I've been observing you. Your every post contains something offensive or borderline offensive to Turks. I'm sure many of our progressive Turkish neighbours who believe like us in Cypriot unity and do not support every action of their country would be quite upset with the tone and language in your posts regarding their people.

Now you try to present yourself as a Communist...

Are you a Hellenic-nationalist communist?

Allow me to end YOUR confusion ... This is a Cyprus-Problem orientated forum ... so what do you think I should post about? Despite that, you are quite wrong in your statistical analysis of the frequency of my mentioning Turks. Perhaps you have missed my many posts in a number of wide-ranging life-style threads .... plus I note your desire to turn this CUBA thread into one about Turks, yourself

Perhaps you also suffer from stalker syndrome then  to perpetually pick out any remarks on Turks. I would congratulate you on your astuteness but since I make an effort to be clear in my hatred of Turkey's actions here in Cyprus and in a wider sense, towards the Kurds and regarding a number of their past failures towards humanity vis a vis Armenians and others, it is an easy conclusion to make.

Unity with mature, humanely decent, law-abiding citizens is always welcome. Let me know when the Turk-TCs are prepared to give up the stolen properties they reside in and they can be re-categorised.

As for my (daily) political leanings, I am a Socialist tending to vote Labour or Lib Dems depending in which country/constituency I reside in as a means of keeping out the Conservatives. I would have voted for Christofias in the second round (but I had not been in Cyprus long enough to qualify to vote). I am very proud of his efforts so far. :) Does that make me a Nationalist?

Perhaps you can tell us a little about yourself and why you are so cynical and intolerant of other's views?

For example: Do you have an annihilation instinct towards Hellenic people?

(I do believe that is a common trait of Turks!)

On Monday, Christofias had an official meeting with Cuban President General Raul Castro at the Palace of the Revolution in Havana. He described the talks as “excellent” and said that Castro was “a fount of knowledge” on Fidel Castro’s relationship with Archbishop Makarios, Cuba-Cyprus relations and the common struggles of the two countries in the Non-Aligned Movement.

He also announced €100,000 in economic aid to Cuba, which will be used in the reconstruction programme following the damage caused by last year’s typhoons, as well as a personal donation of €15,000 by First Lady Elsi Christofias to one of the country’s charity foundations.

This is what I was trying to convey to Wingnut and some others who think having closer ties with other countries is only about what they can do for us. Cyprus is in a position to help a principled country which treats its people as equals.

Thanks for your post, insan, which confirms this is what is being done..

What's more Cyprus would help more countries if itself wasn't forced into this weakened position by the belligerent presence of warmongers (naming no names).

At least they've done what most people can't do, they've got a Cypriot to part with money.

President Christofias wrapped up his three days of scintillating meetings, in Cuba, with a 2 hour rendezvous amidst the Honorable Fidel Castro ... :D

Can you fill us in on these scintillatting meetings. I believe the Honurable Fidel Castro has a wind problem and thinks nothing of passing excess wind even in high profile meetings.
