Was a good comrade though. I smuggled some Che T-Shirts into Turkey for University students there,in 1968. Nearly got killed for my troubles. :lol:

Deniz, we have our own Che - the amazing thing is he was you namesake. He suffered the same fate in the hands of Turkish Establishment.

As I am now, then I was politically 'innocent'. Those days Turkey was like the wild west. If you wanted to get rid of someone, just say he is a lefty....that would seal his fate. No questions asked. It was the period when TCs were also targetted. Their were a few lefties among them. So there was me travelling to Ankara, wıth what I thought was a gift, it was a death sentence.

I seem to remember a photo of our Beloved Late Comrade Big Mak and Brother Fidel back in the '60s. (???)
