Why do the Turkish Cypriots need an army?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Whilst there are people like you around in Cyprus, a TC Army and 43,000 brave Turkish Troops are required and justified. In actual fact, the figures should be doubled to 86,000, let's do the maths :

43,000 = half hearted

86,000 = full hearted

Problem solved

People like me are Greek Cypriots. They are the majority of the island ... you do the maths!

But you are the voice of the racists who cannot get on with anyone, not Armenians, nor Kurds nor Alevis ....

Keep bringing in more and more troops because there are "More and More people" which you cannot get on with and your excuses will run out!

Yes, but not all Greek Cypriots are like you so there is still some hope in finding a 'solution'.

You may not believe this, but I have my own opinions on the Turkish Armed Forces, and not all of them are complimentary. IMHO, given the close proximity of Turkey to the island, there are too many of them deployed in TRNC, and their disproportionate influence in Turkish politics is an area of concern.

How come you don't say the same on the TRNC forums? Is it because it's not what they want to hear? Luckily for you they banned me otherwise you'd be getting shown up again. Come and have a chat on Nige's forum. I'm PtePike on there.

How's the weather in Arkansas today? ;)

The only solution you need, is to learn how to accept people's differences and stop trying to turn them all into "TURKS" before they are "tolerated" by you to live alongside. To date, the Turk-TCs don't have a very good record.

The "solution" is that "modern thing" for self-interested "TCs", like yourself, called respecting the Human Rights of others ....

Gabira came to this forum to get us to recognise the "Turkish Republic of North Cyprus" or just TRNC to her or North Cyprus.

She posts "trnc" links of favourite music.

She say her "nene" is Turkish Cypriot ... and she thinks TCs only go to the "South" for shopping because co-existence is not possible

She is therefore by definitions a Turk ... whether she denies the label or not... I think she prefers "Cypriot" but anything in quotation marks will describe her just as well.

She has now decided to corrupt from within

Edit:

BTW .... some little birdie told me she might be a relative of YFred's  I don't believe it ...

Arkansas weather is weird: rain (lots of it), then high winds, then lots of sun...
I've actually said my views of the Turkish military on the ATCA forum, and the folks there were kind of vexed, to say the least. I replied that I supported TRNC Independence, not Turkish Dependence, which is two different things.
