The Turkish army has protected you so well you've become a minority in your own enclave, unrecognised, over-run by settlers, facing economic ruin and cultural annihilation. Now we are told you can't even speak your own dialect. How much more humiliation do the Turkish Cypriots need to endure at the hands of the Turkish army?

I seem to have encountered this scenario in Cyprus's history somewhere before. Oh ye I remember now. 1963 to 1968.

You conveniently forget if there's a solution there isn't going to be a "trnc" and most of the settlers will go back and in 30 years you'll be assimilated into a majority Greek Cyprus. If there's no solution then I doubt your failed little pseudo-state can support a population of 100,000 never mind one million.

You conveniently forget if there's a solution there isn't going to be a "trnc" and most of the settlers will go back and in 30 years you'll be assimilated into a majority Greek Cyprus. A solution will never arrive as the chasm is just to wide to bridge more and more people will over time realize this fact as for the TRNC survival and population growth thanks for your concern but thats our problem not yours so mind your own business as speculation is just that specualtion we have been around for 35 years and your doom and gloom stories are getting real tiresome...you will be saying the same things in 20 years time which shows how wrong you really are. Time for you to get a new perspective on things and come to terms with the idea that the norht has been lost forever unless you chnage your understanding that the TC are here to stay and we have to share this island with them on an equal basis where they will not be assimilated becuase they are not Greek.

Been here nearly 500 years and not assimilated yet.

Malta, land area 300 sqkm, supports a population of 400,000. TRNC has a land area of 3,555 sqkm so there's hope for us yet.

Malta, land area 300 sqkm, supports a population of 400,000. TRNC has a land area of 3,555 sqkm so there's hope for us yet.

Malta recognised legal state trading world wide, and EU member.

Look at the facts the Republic of Cyprus is a legal country recognized internationally and a member of the EU. The TRNC not recognized by anyone, ignores UN resolutions, has judgments against it in the ECHR and ECJ. So I think without the TAF there wouldn't be a TRNC. I have been to Turkey and it is a shit hole third world country and that's what they have turned north Cyprus into.
