Not meaning to add fuel to this forum fire, but isnt the Greek Cypriot National Guard commanded by a mainland Greek General and many mainlanders are officers also....does that mean that we Greek cyps are slaves to the mainlander Greek?

Correct, the Gcs have 20.000 troops and 100.000 armed reservists...and they complain about our troops bloody hypocrites.

yes but the gc troops dont hold cyprus hostage and keep the island split in two by force and there is 40,0000 of them which are not tcs its all turkey.. they should go back to turkey

The Turkish army has protected you so well you've become a minority in your own enclave, unrecognised, over-run by settlers, facing economic ruin and cultural annihilation. Now we are told you can't even speak your own dialect. How much more humiliation do the Turkish Cypriots need to endure at the hands of the Turkish army?

The most fanatical G/C couldn't have dreamed of such a scenario of ethnic cleansing. Then again, it was a Turkish invention so we shouldn't be surprised.

I seem to have encountered this scenario in Cyprus's history somewhere before. Oh ye I remember now. 1963 to 1968.

GC's need to ask themselves what choices they left for the TC's.
