Cyprus Homes wrote:We moved 2 year's ago and we used Alpha Transport who were very good, we were charged £1800 + VAT and that was for 40 boxes and a three piece suite, only had one lamp shade broken. we did not bring the car, but wish we had although it is a nightmare this end, I still believe it is worth it, I got very little for my car and the cost of a car out here is still very high compared to the UK. I was quoted £700 + VAT at the time to ship it out.
I also used a very good finance company who gave me a great rate of exchange, if you would like the number of either of these people then please email on [email protected]

£1800!!! You were done, shouldn't have been more than a grand.

Bit confused.
CBBB - You say the older the car the cheaper the road tax.
BOF: You say the older the car the more road tax you pay.
A small thing but, which one is it?

Many thanks,

Why have you asked the same question on CyprusLiving????

Are you expecting different answers or something?

It's a forum open to the public so came over it when browsing. Seems daft to me asking the same question on two forums!

Not exactly expecting different answers, (like above). It's just the wider the audience the question is put to the better chance of a reply from someone with very recent experience on the subject, bearing in mind and reading various posts, rules in Cyprus have a habit of changing.

Thanks CBBB for clearing the confusion up.
