Why Can't there be two separate countries?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

ive tried commenting on this religious topic before –
now some are trying to make it a Europe v turkish thing.

Look this is not a religious nor an intercontinental issue. Please keep to the topic.

We’ve just seen what so called religious followings can lead to in London.

the cyprus issue has never been one of religion.
Fanatics have been 'nationalists' not 'christian/islamic fundimentalists'.

Religion made things worst though. From what I see, the most religious somebody is, the least tolerant and more racist he is.

If all Cypriots had the same religion, or even better no religion at all, then things would have been better.

People that believe in god, and even worst those that believe that some humans represent the god, are dangerously naive. Sorry if I offended some people but this is what I think.

Look how Bush is using the god in order to gain support for his crimes, and how Islamic fundamentalists are using god to send human bombs on their targets.

what i meant is that religion hasnt been used as it has been in Israel/Palestine.

Rather than hating each other because they were Christian/Muslim, it was more inclined towards Greek/Turk.

Of course, i agree, the Church has A LOT to answer for.

your use of the word "use" is perfect.

thats what all these groups do, they "use" religion.

they take the name of God in vain. A pretty bad religious crime, for christians and muslims alike.

when i say parasites...i mean the settlers. the people that gained something from the back of 200,000 GC refugees.

Your comments suggest a religeous notion to what happened in cyprus and i find this very inaccurate, what happened in cyprus had nothing to do with religion hence do not turn this debate into a christian Vs muslim as this would be morally very wrong imo.

As for a religious notion...well look ask an Armenian what Turkey did to them...ask a GC what Turkey did to them...even ask an Assyrian what Turkey did to them. What do these peoples have in common?

and it not only Greeks/Greek Cypriots who know that Turkey is a corrupt / expansionist government...I know many Arabs who say the same thing. Do you no think its a bit convenient for Turkish nationalists to say its a conspiracy or something against them. Why are all these other peoples from different nations wrong and Turkey right? Have yopu ever heard the expression 'Act Like You Know'??
