Of course not ... but that was the junta plus GCs of EOKA B' and they were punished and the present representatives are also ashamed of the Junta-CIA involvement.

But, GR!, you have stood still at that point in time. It's what happened afterwards that was perpetually tragically significant, yet you think that is irrelevant.

Turkey invaded, killed more than it should have by even their standards, and has stayed! Why don't you see that as the longer, larger, greater monstrosity that it is?

Greece doesn't occupy Cyprus. But Turkey does. So what is our aim? To remove Turkey. Anything more and you're fighting on two fronts and weakening yourself. Especially if we have formed a mutually beneficial alliance, with Greece, since those dark events of the coup.

Alliances happen all the time even with old enemies ... let alone Greece and Cyprus which have NEVER been historically enemies. Even if you don't accept our cultural brotherhood, at least accept Greeks and Cypriots had harmonious relationships until a bunch of fascist generals did a deal with the USA/Turkey-Britain or all three.

Stop wearing yourself out fighting everyone. Concentrate on getting rid of Turkey first; and if you still feel the same about Greece, sever ties later. But we need allies in Europe ... NOW!

The “junta” was the recognized government of Greece for 7 whole years!

The fact that Greece was being run by a “military junta” doesn’t excuse Greece of her crimes against Cyprus.

But for that brief period in time, when they were in power: do you approve of their actions?

I agree they are not excused and I will never forget.

But, we have an alliance now. Do you accept the RoC-Greek-EU alliance or are we on our own?

Junta is gone. Why are the Turks still on the island? Why can't a Turk give one intelligent answer? Maybe because there isn't an intelligent answer to be given!

I did answer that question: I said no. But, Greece never invaded Cyprus. Turkey did.

You're only referring to an OVERT military move, Toskos. The Greek military did theirs covertly under the cover of the Cypriot National Guard.

She will never agree on this, because this is not in the text books of ROC, which she is reading in school and coming to forum to teach us history

Get Real you are a silly little man you cannot debate but insult people. The only one who sounds stupid is you. You know Cyprus doesn't belong to your Turkish conquerors.
