I am getting plans drawn up for 30 houses 2 miles from Dali on pre 1974 TC land. Any serious investors wishing to take part PM me. Otherwise the Houses with swimming pool each are going up for sale before build quite soon.

Sorry mate but the Bank Of Cobbett is a bit under the weather at the mo ...
but can I say that I quite like Dali. Neglected for many years cos of its proximity to the Front Line. Lot of potential there, the (dry) river that runs though the village is remarkably wide. Don't know the name of the river but I would love to see it in water in Winter. The open area around the bridge could be made very attractive with a bit of planning and investment. There's a delightful kafeneon there, and like all good CY villages it's got its fair share of narrow streets with small shops in the centre of the village.
Also loads of water in the hills above the town.
Shame about the untidy industrial zone but people have to work somewhere and it's quite a long way outside the village.

Not the most scenic area ok, but easy commute to Nicosia, 20 minutes to the coast.
